Ideally, companies will be searching for individuals that have worked with many media applications yet remain creative and know what attracts visitors to a website. With Accessibility becoming more and more focused on the designer will need to keep this in mind. Creating the right website for a customer is not an easy task.

A website needs to be secure not just in terms of passwords which we all know are an important makeup of any site. A site needs to be secured both for you and your customers. The steps necessary to secure a website are not always obvious.

At avery basic level the web server passwords should be kept in a secure place with access ristricted to those people who administer the server. Writing the web server password down is not a good idea and of course sharing this password with others is not a good course of action.

The actual password used should not really be based on a dictionary word but should contain both letters and numerical values and ideally be more than 6 characters long.

Website Vunerability

Just because you have a domain that does not attract a load of traffic do not think that this site is immune from a security attack.Even if the site is somewhat obscure it could still attract the attention of a potential security risk.

Maintaining a low key in terms of not bragging about the site is also a good idea.

Whilst being able to cope with large volumes of work through multiple departments may give an advantage if communication within the organisation is good, you can often find that true client focus may well dissolve with a web design company that gets too big.

A small web design company that has great focus and is primed to concentrate on the clients needs can be much more effective.

When you look at each award winning web design agency you are bound to see that they have one thing in common, that is that they are backed up by a multi-disciplined design and programming team with high levels of innovation and indeed motivation.

The are many varied roles within a successful web design organisation. On the Internet there are countless vacancies looking to recruit web developer’s with talent. It seems the most effective web design companies actively employ all skill sets. Another aspect to keep in mind is that just because a web agency is small it does not necessarily follow that its work output is any less. A truly dedicated small team of web developers and designers can produce amazing results.

Websites today have a level of complexity never seen before, users are looking for outstanding presentation often achieved through implementation of flash. The need for e-commerce sites is becoming more and more and for this a fully integrated database often programmed through PHP is required.

When considering CSS for web development remember that different web browsers interpret CSS in different ways. There are plenty of online resources to fully support your development process. The inclusion of style sheets help you implement presentation and layout very easily and change it with just as much ease.

CSS can of course be applied in HTML and there are many ways to embed it.

There are three methods for embedding CSS into HTML:

Internal

This type of styling is fixed at the head of the document and the CSS is contained in the style element.

External

This involves calling stylesheets by using HTML elements or linking or simply a CSS property.

Inline

When using inline each element can have its own styling.

Viral marketing is the key to success in gaining exponential growth for your website and maximum influence and exposure to your thoughts and ideas. Viral Marketing is about getting a person to pass on your marketing message to others, its often called network marketing and can be achieved in so many different ways. Some viral marketing campaigns are more effective than others but most follow the following principles and basic Viral techniques:

Free product give aways are great to encourage more traffic

Fully scalable campaigns are the way forward

A marketing campaign need to be flexible and use existing networks of communication

Monitor user’s behavior and find out what motivates them most

Most importantly make sure information you can provide can be easily passed to others

In the very social network environments of today most people know at least 8-12 people online that they could pass on your marketing message to. Give people the right to pass on your information and resources to others and watch how you will boost both your website traffic and sales.

Today we make a comparison for the market of web design. More than likely in a corporate environment professional web designers are restricted by the thoughts of internal management and need to keep well in-line on the company philosophy.

The professional in-house web designer then is restricted and becomes somewhat frustrated when creative flare is dampened to promote a more uniform corporate design. The freelance web designer on the other hand may well be at the other end of the scale, not led by any corporate whims and able to use their imagination and their design scope at will.

Such freedom in web design could also lead to trouble as who is there to oversee actual web site function over artistic imagination?

So what is best when it comes to keeping the web design market fresh, full of ideas and bursting at the seams with imagination?

Here at WebWell Design we would choose to promote a healthy balance of the two styles, so we get the uniformity of well constructed design, yet also benefit from artistic flare of the freelancer. Such diversity in the web design market could be seen as a problem for many.
